How to become a successful Blogger in Nigeria

Blogging has become a big time business that everybody wants to venture into but the questions remains how can i become a successful blogger because being a blogger is one thing but being a successful blogger is another thing.

I will talk more about Nigerian bloggers because most of us don't even know the way to our destination and i want to use this opportunity to help ourselves in any possible way i can by listing out some positive ways to follow and some negative ways to avoid if you want to become a successful blogger in the future or remain a successful blogger if you have already become one.

Before we continue i will like to thank you for taking your time to read and see what i have to say but I promise not to disappoint you, your time will not be wasted in vain.

Now let continue with our business and i congratulate you for making the right decision to be a blogger and i will tell you the little i know that can lead to a success.

First Step becoming a blogger:
Are you sure you want to become a blogger if your answer is YES then you are highly welcomed and there are few question you need to ask yourself first such as:

1. Should i create Personal blog or General Forum?
2. Should i start with free host or buy cheap web hosting?
3.Do i have money to pay and buy necessary things needed to run my blog/forum
4. What can i offer people to make them love my blog or forum.

These are the questions you must ask yourself when ever you think of starting your own blog or forum and i will still explain them a little bit one after the other so that you can understand it perfectly well.

Should i create Personal blog or General Forum?
It depends on you to decide some will like to have a personal blog rather than forum while some will still prefer forum over blog but i will tell you some few things you need to know about the two (blog and forum).

=> Blog gives access to few people that can writing and publish articles while forum gives access to all registered members to write and publish articles unless the administrator decides to put restrictions.

=> Blog gets comments easily than new forum because it does not require any registration to comment in a blog while some forum only allows registered and logged in users to comment.

=> Managing blogs is easier then managing forums in terms of spam.

=> Some say that blog is profitable than forums but for me it depends on the volume of traffic you receive on a daily basis, that determines how profitable any of them can be.

Now i have given you few things to consider before choosing to start a forum or blog and the choice is all yours.

=>> Should i start with free host or buy cheap web hosting?
You can read more about whether to use free webhosting or cheap web hosting >> Free webhosting BlogSpot, Word Press or cheap hosting to start with

It depends on how you want it if you still want to learn you can start in a free web hosting like BlogSpot or word press but for me i started with paid hosting back in 2012 and never depends on free hosting but your own case might be different and the choice is still yours.

=>> Do i have money to pay and buy necessary things needed to run my blog/forum
Well some people still don't know that lots of expenses is involved in blogging such as:

=> Designing of your desired forum or blog
=> Paying for at least N2500 night Monthly internet data plan
=> You Need a good Computer.

As i beginner you must be aware of the above requirement that you must take care off because you can't start empty handed.

Designing of your desired forum or blog
You might have seen lots of websites with different designs and you love to make yours look like A or B then prepare to pay to someone who can design something similar for you and that's the only way.

Paying for at least N2500 night Monthly internet data plan
If you are really serious about blogging then forget about free browsing and pay for at least N2500 for 4.5GB monthly to stay connected, you can check Updated MTN data plans >> (Updated) Full List Of MTN Internet Data Plans Subscription Codes And Prices

You Need a good Computer
You must have a computer before starting a blog because starting without computer will be like going to school without Books so the first step is to get all the necessary things needed ready.

=>> What can i offer people to make them love my blog or forum?
The worst mistake you can make is believing that running a forum or blog is all about copying and pasting because i see some Nigerian bloggers who hardly write something new on their own but believes in copying and pasting which will not lead you anywhere.

Making name on the internet is about providing answers to peoples questions, teaching people what they need to know and bringing all the help info and gist's at their door steps in your own personal way not peoples way (copying and pasting).

Your dreams keeps you stronger:
Blogging is not as easy as it seems to people it requires lots of work to become a successful blogger because nothing good comes easy as keep telling people.

If you need money urgent then blogging is not for you because it's only your dreams can take you there and having a big dream in blogging is as good as knowing where you are going which am sure you knows the direction to your destination.

Blogging requires time patient:
You need to work harder and wait to reap the fruit of your labor because in blogging you must sow before you reap, you don't reap before you sow, hope you understand.

I know you must have spent lots of time reading this article but am sure don't waste your time in vain but for something that can help you become who you want to be (A successful blogger)

2016 Nigeria best webhosting, Local and Foreign hosting

Congrats you have decided to host your own website but before you do let me guide you a bit so that you don’t make mistake.
Many Nigerians find it difficult choosing between Nigerian based webhosting and Foreign webhosting but the truth is that “among all nonsense there is always a sense and among all sense there is always a nonsense” what am I saying “both Nigerian based and Foreign based webhosting has good and bad one’s that is why I congratulate you by digging deep in finding good and reliable webhosting for your new or old website.

Nigerian based or foreign web-hosting

Days are gone when Nigerians find it hard paying for foreign webhosting companies because you can easily use you Master card credit card or PayPal to pay for some trusted foreign based webhosting since PayPal allows Nigerian to use their services unlike before when Nigerians are restricted to use such services.

Yes you can still find some good and reliable webhost which I will mention few of them below but before then I will like to list out some few things that determines how good and reliable a webhost is.

Good and Reliable webhosting
Well I have more than 3 years experience in this business because I started my own journey since 2012 and I will tell you what I learned and what makes a webhost good and reliable as you can see below.

Price

Price is one of the important factors when determining a webhost but not actually whether if the webhost is cheap or expensive but the one that will offer you value for your money, remember when choosing a webhost plan and price you need to ask yourself what you want and then go for it according to your budgets.

Uptime

Another important factor when choosing a webhost is its uptime, and when I said uptime i meant how long the server can stay without errors or your website going offline (Unreachable) which is the most annoying aspect of it.
Remember sometimes your server might go under technical maintenance but shouldn’t take too long.

Server performance

You website might be up and running without performing well when it comes to server response time and overall loading speed and a good webhosting company should be well optimized to perform better.

Supports

Whether you are a newbie or pro blogger/webmaster you must in one way or the other need help from your webhost provider and that is why I take customer support important when choosing a webhost because a good webhost should be able to respond to their customers 24/7 with please manner of approach.

How long into the business

Yes you need to know how long the webhosting company has been on business so that you will not be worried of losing your website in case they suddenly shutdown their services.

Good webhosting for Nigerians

Well let me show you some good webhosting companies that you can choose and can pay with your ATM card or pay Naira directly through bank.

1. Web4africa.net
Web4africa is one of the best web hosting company in Nigeria and i recommend it to anyone who want to host his or her site because i personally use it too.

2. arvixe.com
Arvixe is another webhost that i love so much and i recommend it to you, though i have not used it but one of my client uses it and what i love most about their host is that they integrated some seo pack that will enable you optimize your website direct from cpanel.

3. Bluehost.com
Bluehost is not a Nigerian web hosting company but allows Nigerians to pay directly through PayPal or credit cards
If you have any problem regarding webhosting in Nigeria don’t hesitate to let me know so that I can help in any possible way I can.

4. Smartweb.com.ng
Smartweb is a Nigerian based webhosting and from what i had they are doing just find on this business

5. Whogohost.com
Whogohost is also a Nigerian based webhosting that offers you more for less and i recommend you try them if you so desire to use a Nigerian based webhosting.

6. Godaddy.com
Godaddy is known for their Domain registration and webhosting and am sure you have had a lot about them because they are not new in the business of domain registration and webhosting.

7. Syskay.com
Syskay is great webhosting that you will love to try though i have not used it for once but those who used it don't complain that is why i also recommend it to those who like Nigerian based web hosting.
There are other good webhosting companies in Nigeria but the above webhosting is the one’s I can mention now and they work great.
Some of them will also give you free domain of your choice once you pay for the host while you will need to buy domain and hosting differently for some webhost but web4africa offers free domain for their new customers.

MTN, Airtel, Glo, Others in Fresh Trouble With NCC

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on Monday said it would sanction 13 telecommunications operators for failing to comply with the ‘2442 Do Not Disturb (DND)’ directive on unsolicited telemarketing.
NCC’s Director of Public Affairs, Mr Tony Ojobo, in a statement said the directive was issued on April 20, 2016.
Ojobo said that the 13 operators included: Airtel Network Ltd., MTN Nigeria, Globacom Nigeria, Smile Communication, Visafone Communications, Ntel, Etisalat, Multi-Links, Starcomms, Danjay Telecoms, Gamjitel Ltd., Megatech Engineering Ltd. and Gicell Wireless.
According to him, the service providers have been given another one-week ultimatum, from Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, to remedy the situation or face the sanctions enshrined in the directive.
“Worried by the non-compliance by the operators, occasioned by a deluge of complaints by subscribers across Nigeria, the NCC inaugurated an eight-member committee to look into the matter.
“After several meetings, including those it held with the network providers, it became necessary to issue the latest ultimatum to redress the menace of incessant unsolicited text messages and phone calls for telemarketing via the various networks,’’ he said.
Ojobo said the commission had written to the providers on whose networks it had received series of complaints from subscribers regarding the efficacy of DND.

Top 5 Free Mobile Phone Apps for International Calls & 4 Ways to Reduce Data Usage on iPhone

London to Lagos may be massive 4,292 miles in distance but with the help of the following free apps on iPhone, you can make that distance disappear.
image
Illustrative image (Photo: Business Insider)

1. KakaoTalk

Upside:  If you are looking for more than just a free app to call Nigeria, this is a great choice for you. Featuring a whole load of fun features, games and stickers, KakaoTalk is a lot more than just a free calling app.

Downside: If your friends and family back in Nigeria aren’t using the app, they won’t be able to talk to you. KakaoTalk is unable to make calls to landlines and non-users.

2. Hangouts

Upside: It is one of Google’s premier apps, which features some interesting ways of keeping you connected with those you love. Its reliable text service allows you to chat with people all over the globe through the SMS and email.

Downside: Video calling functionality has yet to gain adequate prominence in Nigeria.

3. WeChat

Upside: It is very efficient while calling on this app. The social media application is most unique for its method of ‘shaking’ phones to add contacts. It took over the Nigerian mobile social media space using local radio stations to give out money prizes.ý ýMost experts have described it as the face of modern technology. Its voice clarity is second to none.

Downside: It has been inconsistent in the last one year.

4. Viber

Upside: It is available across the world and is incredibly popular in many regions. Its iOS app is well designed and a lot less likely to crash than many of its more popular rivals.

Downside: If you’re not making calls to numbers/people without the app, you may find yourself paying more per minute than comparable rivals.

5. ChilliTalk

Upside: ChilliTalk offers users completely free calls and texts to other users. Additionally, users can make calls back to Nigeria on the landlines. So, whether you have access to the Internet on your smartphone or not, you can always make a call home.

Downside: We can’t find any faults with it.

Note: If you’re looking to find a free call app for Nigeria, it is clear to see iPhone users are spoiled for choice. The downside to the vast majority of these apps though is that they require both users to have the application on their phone in order to make free calls. This perhaps gives ChilliTalk app a slight edge: allowing you to switch to local dialling for extremely low cost calls.

Try them all out and see for yourself. Be sure to take advantage of the power of free iPhone calling apps!

Four Ways to Reduce Data Usage on iPhone

1. Disable cellular app updates

Automatic updates of apps will always take a toll on your data allotment. So, make sure apps are updated only when you are on WiFi. Go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores and turn off Use Cellular Data.

2. Disable WiFi Assist

Wi-Fi Assist is a great feature where your iPhone hands off a weak Wi-Fi signal to your cellular network to prevent pages from loading slowly or not at all as it clings to the last remnants of a Wi-Fi signal. If you sit on the edge of a Wi-Fi network at work, say, then your cellular network may be assisting more than you’d like and running up data charges.

To disable Wi-Fi Assist, go to Settings > Cellular and scroll all the way to the bottom to turn off Wi-Fi Assist.

3. Disable background app refresh

iOS apps can update in the background, grabbing new content as they sit idle so they can show you the latest news when you return to them. Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh and you can turn this setting off completely or go the a la carte route from the list below and choose which apps update in the background.

4. Disable iCloud Drive on cellular

If you use iCloud Drive to shuttle documents in and out of the cloud, those data transfers can add to your bill, especially over a cellular connection. You can restrict iCloud Drive to Wi-Fi only by going to Settings > iCloud > iCloud Drive and scrolling to the bottom and turning off Use Cellular Data.

What to Do When ATMs Make Mistakes & 5 ATM Mistakes to Avoid

ATMs can make mistakes. And when they do, it can cost you time and money to clean them up. They can account for a deposit amount incorrectly, dispense too little or too much cash, fail to give a receipt and keep a customer’s payment card.

The most spectacular errors occur when ATMs dispense cash to anyone who walks by, including those without money in their accounts or even without accounts.

A couple of times a year, news reports tell of crowds gathering around ATMs that mistakenly begin spewing bills. In 2010, the Bank of Ireland’s ATMs dispensed more cash to customers than they actually had in their accounts, according to the New York Times. One taxi driver with nothing in the bank walked away with huge amount of cash.

How often does it happen? Diebold Incorporated, a leading maker of ATMs, based in North Canton, Ohio, United States, does not keep records of how many mistakes its machines make, the company says. A representative there says only that mistakes are rare.

However, mistakes do happen, says James Trocme, senior director of market research and knowledge management at Diebold. While they don’t know how often they happen, mistakes by the machines can usually be traced to some form of human error. Poor maintenance practices, especially, can lead to ATM foul-ups, Trocme says.

Although no one in the industry seems to know how often mistakes occur, they generally agree about what to do to avoid being victimised by a rogue ATM.

1. Always get a printed receipt. The receipt contains important information such as the transaction date, time and the machine identifier, says Nessa Feddis, senior counsel for American Bankers Association based in Washington, D.C. Among other things, this will allow the ATM owner to check the photographic record that is often made of transactions.

2. Count your cash. John Prendergast, vice president of supervision for Conference of State Bank Supervisors, an advocacy group composed of state banking regulators based in Washington, D.C., acknowledges that safety concerns may sometimes preclude openly counting a fat stack of $20 bills.

“You need to be cognizant of your surroundings, particularly if there is anyone behind you waiting for the ATM,” Prendergast says. “But I would absolutely count the money.” It’s possible that a video record of the transaction could be used to confirm how many bills you count out, he says.

Act fast to improve your chances

3. Notify the bank or ATM owner. You can find a phone number on the ATM, telling you whom to call in case the machine isn’t located outside of a bankbranch, Prendergast says.

4. Act quickly. If you let the ATM owner know immediately, it will make it more likely that the company can trace the error, Feddis says.

An ATM error can leave you baffled, infuriated and not knowing where to turn. But if you take the right steps, the mistake is likely to get corrected.

“The outcomes in my experience have been the same,” Prendergast says. “That’s that the consumer is always dealt with very well and is not left in a bad position.

Five ATM Mistakes to Avoid

You just finished a lovely dinner somewhere in Victoria Island in Lagos or in Abuja, and you are told by the cashier that the restaurant accepts only cash. But as you dash off to the Automated Teller Machine to get cash, do your best to avoid making some mistakes

According to www.purewow.com, there are seven time-tested ATM mistakes you need to avoid making. These are:

1. Not shielding your PIN

This is not just about the person in line behind you. Next-level skimmers will go so far as to set up cameras to record your Personal Identification Number as you punch it in. A good idea? Use your free hand to cover the numbers. When it comes to your cash, better safe than sorry.

2. Tossing your ATM receipt

Computers never make mistakes, right? Wrong. An ATM receipt is the best proof of transaction should you spot an error you need to dispute. You don’t have to hold on to it forever—just until your withdrawal (or deposit) clears. Keep in mind: It’s best to shred your receipt before you toss it. You will be amazed what an identity thief can do with just your name and partial account number.

3. Using your credit card

It may feel more secure than using your debit card, but the charges on ATM withdrawals using a credit card is sky-high. (Not to mention that a lot of times you will be subjected to additional cash-advance transaction fees.) Even worse, there’s no grace period on paying interest for creditcard cash withdrawals. Bottom line: Emergencies aside, your debit card is really the only card you should be using at the ATM.• Not fighting the fees

4. Exorbitant ATM charges happen

This is not withstanding the fact that the Central Bank of Nigeria has stipulated guidelines on ATM and other charges. Never hesitate to call your bank and push back should you notice something funny on the ATM charges. If you’re a good customer (and nicely explain the fact that you had zero options available), in most cases, they’ll do you a favour and refund the fees. Those little money adds up.

5. Withdrawing cash from stand-alone ATMs beyond midnight.

WhatsApp is officially adding the video calling functionality

WhatsApp has been a wonder so far. The social media platform already boasts over a billion users, its easy chatting operation makes it very convenient to keep up very interactively with close acquaintances.
image
WhatsApp video calling
Yet for so long we have been anticipating WhatsApp to add video calling. This would be very delicious icing on that cake as it completes the sensational WhatsApp experience. Well WhatsApp now owned by Facebook is not first to begin voice calling on its app. As well, it is not the first to be adding video calls either. Finally after series of betas, even pulled betas, and yet boring us with more betas, WhatsApp has finally unveiled the feature officially.
“In the coming days”, WhatsApp’s user base which spills over a billion users on iOS, Android, iOS, and Windows will gain the functionality to participate in video calls with their contacts.
However brief the announcement, it is so welcome as we have waited so long for it. WhatsApp didn’t really release any added details, for that we can’t tell if it is going to take a fresh version of the app to make the video calling functional or yours. Another unlikely yet possible prospects is the video calling feature could just ‘magically’ appear on your WhatsApp some time upfront.
So all this said, just be vigilant, keeping an eye out for the video call option in your chats. Of course you are not waiting much long for this.

How to WIN BIG MONEY on NairaBet, Bet9ja...

Online soccer betting has come to stay in WUSTO and with so many betting sites springing up daily, you stand a chance to win not less than N50,000 per day depending on how much you place on your Bet.. Many Wesleyans in WUSTO have been calling me to either assist them in winning secrets or assist them with manuals on winning Big, but I have decline the bet manual offers because whatever is gotten or given free is not valued or appreciated. But to save the many of my callers and readers who has been browsing through wutoparolz.blogspot.com.

I have decided to package this beginner’s guide for free to anyone who would call and ask for it.
You can’t win what you don’t desire. Think of it.
I know soccer betting is not easy and you must have lost so much than expected when you heard about the gains associated with soccer betting. Also don’t get carried away by people on the internet telling you how they won thousands from soccer betting by copying bet win pages from nairabet or nairastake. Those things are lies and coined to deceive you the more. Check the winning pages well, why is the game or bet id blacklisted or erased? Is it only singles type of bet they placed, why not them placing accumulator types of bet. There are certain things you should be weary off online when you read about soccer betting stuffs online.

Don’t rush into soccer betting because your friend made cash from it last week or that people are making it there, ask self some certain defining questions and the most vital one is, do you love soccer? Do you know the various soccer teams? Remember you will only succeed in what you love doing, and doing it well. Online soccer betting involve lots of risk taking and you can only go far if you are ready to be a risk taker..So if you search self well, then join the train and make money your own way…mind what I said here…your own way.
To start online soccer betting, you must do the following things I have describe below,

1. OPEN AN ONLINE SOCCER BETTING ACCOUNT:
There are many Nigerian online soccer betting accounts but I will recommend only three, nairabet, 9japredict and 1960bet. I will strongly ask you open a nairabet account by clicking on this link to open such: https://www.nairabet.com/Odds/registration/affiliate38733
Or Bet9ja: https://register.bet9ja.com?promocode=akintayo456
If you open your nairabet account through the above link, I would be notified and would send you my betting manual for free. But if you already have a nairabet account, then read these guide below thoroughly. Why I choose nairabet is that winnings withdrawal is paid in 48 hours. However as you progress I would advise you open more other betting sites. I have a nairabet, 9ja predict, nairastake, naijabet, and 1960bet accounts.
2. CHOOSE A LEAGUE:
Now that you have opened an account, choose a league you will have to study to place bet on. Not just seeing matches being played online and you rush to place bets. No, it is not done so. Have you not heard about comparative cost advantage in economics? You do well where your strength/ability is the greatest…
For a guide I would recommend you go for these leagues where the odds are high: Italy lega pro leagues, Greece football leagues, France ligue 2 and national, Portugal segunda division and Wales.
3. CHOOSE YOUR BETTING STYLES:
You should choose the type of betting styles and strategies to apply your soccer betting. A number of bet types are offer by the various naija bet sites. Some of the styles to take can be chosen below;
Accumulator
Double chance
Under/over goals
Both teams to score
First half result
Singles
You will lose more of your funds if you always use the accumulator type of betting styles, though the returns and the odds are always high but it’s risky percentage is high. I would prefer you go for the double chance; i.e. one side of the team will win. This can be found in the English championship, league one, league two, conference. As for both teams to score, use the Northern Ireland league, Japanese league, Germany amateurs and England championships.
Under goals can be found in the Italia lega pro, Greece football leagues and France national.
Over goals are found in the Japan leagues, Germany and England amateurs
First half results can be found in Italia lega pros and France national or ligue 2 but it can only be possible from September ending to November.
As for the singles, just place bets on any 5 teams either win or draw and stake 200naira each on them but u will have to have like 1,000 in your account to do this. Atleast you will win some games out of the 5 games.
4. SPECIAL FUNDING:
Start now to fund your account gradually till September 1st or when the major leagues will start. Online soccer betting involves money and to get big gains, you will have to fund/risk big funds. Have you ever tried a double chance of 5 games of 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25 x 1.25 =3.051 with a stake of 5,000naira? Or 3 both teams to score/under goals of 1.50 x 1.50 x 1.50 = 3.375 so you can see the secrets of my winnings all this while. Week in- week out, I always win from naira bet so adopt this styles. It takes only careful planning and luck to win big funds with little stake.
5. SOCCER BETTING SITES (PREDICTIONS SITES):
Please be careful on these. Most of the soccer betting sites work hand in hand with predictions sites to rack us of our hard earn funds but not all when it comes to this. Have you ever follow a prediction site and place bets only for you to lose your bets. Most of the winnings I have made since September 1st 2011 till date have come from my head and a little guide from some best prediction sites. So I am recommending for you this day the following;
http://www.soccervista.com
http://www.tipico.com
The above two are the best for now.
Then to watch live soccer results and know how your bet scores have been going, use http://www.soccer24.com
I wish you all the best and say welcome to the club…cheers
